The 3rd AAT Call under the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) has been launched by the European Commission on the 30th July 2009.

To support the participation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Level 1 Projects, AeroPortal together with the Industrial Management Group (ASD-IMG4) and the European Commission, will hold an one-day event on Thursday, 15th October 2009 in Brussels.

Small and medium-sized companies with RTD capabilities in the respective areas of technology, who wish to take the opportunity to meet with and to receive information first hand from the proposal co-ordinators, are encouraged to participate in the workshop. SMEs will have the opportunity to meet the proposal coordinators in one-to one meetings and to present their activities and project ideas and/ or look for potential partners.

AeroPortal Workshop is particularly aimed at supporting the participation of SMEs in Level 1 projects of the 3rd FP7Aeronautics and Air Transport Call.

The participation is open to all stakeholders interested in project proposal submission both as coordinator and/or partner.

 Target audience:

  • SMEs leading a project proposal or wishing to become a potential project partner
  • Industrial partners looking for SMEs to join their project consortium
  • Research centres and universities wishing to join and/or set up proposals
  • Others interested stakeholders in FP7 AAT 3rd Call

  Organisation:

In Session I, the audience will receive first hand information on the 3rd AAT Call by the European Commission with the possibility to ask specific questions and will share an overall analysis of the SME participation in FP7 Call I and II. Moreover, the Industrial Management Groups (Euromart IMG-airfraimers, Engine IMG, Equipment IMG and ATM IMG), representing the industrial partners, will present projects under construction for the 3rd Call.

Session II will explain the AeroPortal project, our free-of-charge services to SMEs and our training offer. Within the frame of AeroPortal, the SMEs Support Team will specify the available services and explain how SMEs can directly benefit from them.

A representative of Clean Sky JTI will add useful information on Clean Sly organisational structure and points of contact, future opportunities for SMEs into RTD projects and relation with AeroPortal.

Session III in the afternoon will be devoted to SMEs willingness to present their activities, interest in 3rd Call Topics and possibly project ideas under construction for this Call. The concept of “Turbo SMEs project idea presentation” is to give each SME (open also to research centres/universities) 5 minutes presentation in order to get visibility on specific skills and needs.

Your presentation should take no longer than 5 min with a maximum 4 slides:

  • Your company/organisation and your core activities
  • Your interest in a specific Topic of the 3rd AAT Call
  • Your project idea (if any) and your need

Please note such presentation has to be sent to aeroportal(at)asd-europe.org by the 13th October 2009. In case of interest to present your company/organisation, please follow instructions into the on-line registration form.

Adding to this, would you like us to try to find interested companies with your projects ideas, please send us a short project abstract (by the 13th October) which we will display on this webpage under the match-making section. The match-making concept is only designed to help you to find partners, a coordinator, technology,... Please refer to the Match making concept section.
